We're pleased to announce the latest update to our International Trade Guide, with eight country guides now fully revised and available to subscribers.

The latest country guides to receive a complete review are:

  • Algeria

  • Burundi

  • Kenya

  • Kuwait

  • Nigeria

  • Saudi Arabia

  • Tanzania

  • Uganda

These updates continue our programme of modernising the International Trade Guide, ensuring exporters have access to clear, practical and up-to-date information when trading overseas.

🟧 A New Structure Across Every Country Guide

One of the biggest improvements is the introduction of a consistent structure across every country guide.

Rather than navigating layouts that varied from country to country, subscribers will now find each country guide organised into the same easy-to-follow sections:

  • General

  • Financial Details

  • Commercial Invoice

  • Packing List

  • Certificate of Origin

  • Transport

  • Packing

  • Insurance

  • Product Requirements

  • Customs Procedures

  • Helpful Contacts

This makes it much quicker to compare export requirements between markets and find the information you need.

🟧 Completely Revised Product Requirements

The Product Requirements chapters have been extensively rewritten.

Instead of long lists of regulations or obsolete inspection procedures, the revised country guides now explain:

  • product-specific import requirements

  • licences and permits

  • conformity assessment requirements

  • technical standards

  • product labelling

  • prohibited and restricted goods

  • exemptions where applicable

Information has been reorganised into logical product categories, making it easier to identify the requirements that apply to a particular shipment.

🟧 Modern Customs Guidance

The Customs Procedures chapters have also been completely rebuilt.

The revised country guides now cover:

  • customs documentation

  • customs valuation

  • duties and taxes

  • electronic customs systems

  • conformity assessment requirements

  • temporary imports

  • Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) programmes

  • customs clearance procedures

Historic operational guidance, discontinued inspection routes and outdated customs processes have been removed in favour of information that reflects current customs practice.

🟧 New Transport Maps

Each updated country guide now includes a new transport map developed specifically for exporters.

These maps provide a quick visual overview of each country, highlighting:

  • capital cities

  • major commercial centres

  • principal ports

  • international airports

  • key road transport corridors

  • important regional trade routes

The maps complement the transport chapters and provide a useful reference when planning shipments and understanding regional logistics.

🟧 Better Practical Guidance

Throughout the International Trade Guide, we've focused on the information exporters use most often when preparing shipments.

The updated country guides place greater emphasis on:

  • commercial documentation

  • transport options

  • customs procedures

  • product compliance

  • official government authorities

  • practical export guidance

The result is a cleaner, easier-to-use reference that reflects today's trading environment rather than historical procedures.

🟧 More Updates Coming Soon

The review of the International Trade Guide continues, with additional country guides scheduled for revision over the coming months.

Each update has the same objective: providing exporters with accurate, practical and consistent guidance that supports international trade.

Subscribers can access the updated country guides for Algeria, Burundi, Kenya, Kuwait, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania and Uganda through the International Trade Guide.

If you are already a subscriber, we recommend reviewing the revised country guide before your next shipment.
